the Meeting House
Located in the Catkill Mountains at Phoenicia, New York the Baptist Meeting House is a missionary effort of Ambassador's Baptist Church in Apache Junction, AZ. After two years, initally meeting in homes, the Meeting House developed into a fellowship of Believers doing our best to follow in the footsteps of Jesus Christ. In the understanding of God's Word, we grew apart from the compromising trend of the mainstream and began doing things God's way. Now, we're here - with a special heart to serve the people of the Catskill Mountains.
We are Baptist: Fundamental, Independent and conducting ourselves as is appointed by God. Our primary purpose is to preach and teach the revealed Truth of God's King James Bible.
We do not believe in the practice of traditions established by men ("religion"), but rather in the establishing of a relationship with our God; the Heavenly Father, the Saviour Son Jesus Christ and the Comforter Holy Spirit. Learning God's Word, we come to know and understand our LORD. In this, our relationships grow - in the Lord, with our Families, our friends, and our peers. We enjoy a great time of fellowship and friendship as prescribed by the Word of God.
